I call this steak rub but it can be used on most types of meat and I even use it to flavour my burger mix.
If you have never used a dry rub on your steak you will be surprised at how much flavour it adds. I’ve been using this for a number of years now and can’t imagine not using it.
It is so quick and simple to make and can be stored for up to a year in a spice or herb jar.
I would recommend investing in a pestle and morter if you plan to work with spices or rubs as it makes it easier to crush the whole spices.
You can use as much or as little as you want on your steak. Be sure to rub it into your steak at least 30 minutes before cooking. You can do this and then let the steak get to room temperature.
Feel free to increase or decrease any of the ingredients to your own taste.
