This is another great spice rub or mix. You can rub it onto any meat before you roast or bbq it and it will improve the flavour.
I usually use it to make spicy pork and beans or fajitas but I have used it on my meats and chicken for bbq’ing also.
You can make multiples of the amount below as it will store for months. This amount fills one of the small herb or spice jars that are sold in most supermarkets.
Mexican Spice Mix
Ingredients
- 3 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl and store in an airtight container
